OR: Don’t freak out! I’m moving the salon into my home!
If you follow me on social media, you’ll may have seen that I am moving Kindred Curl Salon into my home. It’s been a rough few years health wise, and it just makes sense. I’m building a new salon space in my home and I’m really excited. That timeline is TBA.
So, there’s a new commercial space for sale in Pittsburgh! The building that my salon has called home for so very long, and still calls home, is officially on the market. It’s an incredible building, and one that I actually called home for a very long time. (So, living above my salon is not new to me!). It’s hosted birthday parties and special events, organic beauty brand founders, and some of the best curly hair professionals in the country (and world). It’s hosted Pittsburgh-area local events, teen nights, and lots of float time in the pool (now long gone). Letting this idyllic commercial space go is going to be hard.
But it’s a turnkey property for a new salon or commercial business, with income opportunity on two levels! The views are incredible, there’s 10 parking spaces and a 1-car garage. It’s also a Sustainable Pittsburgh Gold Designated Business with convenient access to I-376! This commercial space has so much potential. My two cents, but I could totally see it as a coffee shop/breakfast/lunch space (20,000 vehicles a day drive by!). In Pittsburgh, we love our food, our coffee and our eats; we’ll never say no to a new spot! I could also imagine a photography studio and/or a gallery space. The lighting here is amazing.
Wait… am I crazy for letting this place go? Maybe I am. Or maybe I’m opening the door to another artist(s) with a crazy idea and an itch to do something creative. This is where my beautiful business began. Now it’s my turn to pay it forward. Please share.
In the meantime, it’s bizness as usual! I’m accepting new clients, and continuing to love on my existing clientele in this spot that’s served us for over 20 years. I hope you’re loving the curls you’re with!
